Jessica Conlon

Jessica is an educator and organizational strategist who believes the most successful organizations put their people at the center of their strategy. Jessica started her career as a classroom teacher in the South Bronx. She later obtained her law degree and practiced Labor & Employment law in Missouri where she grew up. Jessica has continued to work in public education for most of her career and has held leadership roles in a variety of organizations including KIPP Austin, TNTP, and the Texas Education Agency. Most recently, Jessica served as the Executive Director of Organizational Development at TEA. In her role overseeing Education Service Center (ESC) Strategy & Support as well as Human Resources for the agency, Jessica facilitated strategic planning across the system of 20 ESCs, and supported, aligned, and coordinated individuals, teams, and key partners so that they could effectively serve the state’s 5.5 million public school students. Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Boston University, a Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University, and a Juris Doctorate from University of Missouri – Columbia. She lives in Austin, Texas with her family. 

 

Megan Aghazadian

Megan is a strategist and team-builder with deep experience in the education sector, having  served at the classroom, school leadership, district central office, and state agency levels, across both charters and traditional public schools, in roles supporting students in K-12 through post-secondary education systems. Most recently, she served as Deputy Commissioner of Operations at the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for six years, responsible  for leading the agency’s cross-divisional strategic planning process and coordinating  performance management and people systems at the agency. She also oversaw the agency’s external relations  functions, including communications, governmental relations, and the agency’s work with Texas’ 20  Education Service Centers. Prior to her role at TEA, Megan held strategy development and leadership roles at DC Public Schools, DC Public Education Fund, TNTP, and the KIPP Foundation. Megan began her career in education as a middle school Language Arts teacher and literacy coach in New York City. Megan earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Princeton University, a Master in the Art and Science of Teaching from Pace  University in New York, and a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University. She lives in  Austin, Texas with her husband and two young children. 

 

Kesson Anderson

Kesson has dedicated her career to building an educational system that provides all students with the equitable education they deserve. Before joining Loom, Kesson spent eight years at the Achievement Network (ANet), serving as a school and district leader leadership coach in Washington, DC, and Chicago, IL, and as the head of the sales operation and strategy team during her tenure. While at ANet, Kesson led efforts to launch and manage organizational systems and strategy for marketing and thought leadership, RFPs and proposals, sales and account management, and revenue forecasting. She also built and supported several district partnerships across the country, including partnerships with Chicago Public Schools, Atlanta Public Schools, Clark County Public Schools (Las Vegas, NV), and Los Angeles Unified School District. She also worked alongside ANet’s CEO to build strategic partnerships and coalitions with several private and non-profit organizations and to develop a go-to-market strategy for new products and services. Before working at ANet, Kesson earned her MBA from Yale School of Management, interned with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Postsecondary Success team, and served as Portfolio Manager with the DC Public Education Fund, a nonprofit supporting DC Public Schools with philanthropic funding. She also previously served as a Site Director at Heads Up, an after school and summer learning program in Washington, DC, and as a kindergarten teacher in Atlanta. Kesson graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in Durham, North Carolina with her husband and son.

  • Sabrina is a problem solver who creates and manages projects that uplift and empower marginalized communities. Her work straddles learning & development, teacher preparation, and community engagement with stakeholders across the education ecosystem. Sabrina spent several years as a STEM educator and instructional leader before transitioning into leadership roles with Teach For America and TNTP. With a deep commitment to elevating community voices and significant on-the ground experience working with school districts, education agencies, funders, community organizations, and policy makers to manage complex projects, she creates innovative and culturally-relevant solutions which are sustainable and reflect the most pressing needs of students. Sabrina earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Spelman College and Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington.

  • Molly Moore is a former educator who has dedicated her career to serving school systems and education organizations to achieve educational equity. After teaching high school in Washington DC, Molly worked for TNTP for over ten years, partnering with districts, schools, and service centers to support a range of initiatives in talent and academic strategy and capacity building. As a Partner, she developed and managed the state-wide strategy for Texas, built new partnerships, and led diverse teams to deliver services that centered on academic, workforce, and performance management priorities. Most recently, Molly has worked as an independent consultant, specializing primarily in developing improved talent management practices with her clients. Molly earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University and Master of Arts in Education from American University in Washington, D.C.

  • Tim Regal has focused on the systems and practices that produce great instruction for all students throughout his eighteen years in education. Prior to partnering with Loom, Tim was the Associate Commissioner of Instructional Support at the Texas Education Agency (TEA), where he supervised a department of approximately sixty-five employees that oversaw nearly a dozen strategic initiatives designed to support local education agencies in their pursuit of continuous improvement. His primary work focused on the improvement of adult-led systems, using frameworks like the Effective Schools Framework and the Effective District Framework to support the identification of instructional systems gaps, and using trainings and supports, like Texas Instructional Leadership, to build the capacity of campus and district leaders to implement high-leverage practices that improve teaching and learning. Prior to this role, Tim led the design and rollout of Texas Instructional Leadership trainings, the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS), and the Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System (T-PESS). Before coming to TEA, Tim served as a high school English teacher, a department chair, a teacher trainer for AP Strategies and Laying the Foundation, and a presenter for Advanced Placement preparation sessions throughout the nation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Italian, a Master’s degree in English, and a Master’s degree in Public Affairs, all from the University of Texas. He currently lives in Austin, Texas with his family.

  • A former teacher and network lead, Julia has extensive experience partnering with educational groups from early childhood through the K-16 sector. As the President and Founder of Schoolhouse Consulting, she has dedicated her career to helping educational organizations tackle their most pressing problems. Previously, she served as the Vice President of Staffing for Alliance College-Ready Public Schools, one of the largest charter management organizations in California. Julia’s core skills include talent strategy, human capital systems, strategic planning, and change management. Prior to joining the staff of Alliance, Julia consulted around a variety of initiatives as Project Director at TNTP. As a consultant with TNTP, and later, she counseled senior district, state, and charter management clients on strategic human capital issues, performance management systems, teacher pipelines, and early childhood strategy. Julia has extensive experience with strategic projects, bringing not just technical expertise but also a collaborative working style that engages key stakeholders in the process of change. Julia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from UC Berkeley, a Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University, and M.Ed. in Educational Policy and Management from Harvard University.
